Chu Tao is 'the way in which being a monarch', i.e. the artwork of ruling. Every single faculty of philosophy has its tao, its doctrine of the way in which by which existence need to be ordered. Last but not least in a selected school of philosophy whose followers came to generally be known as Taoists, tao meant 'the best way the universe functions
